Hi, I'm Analysa
My passion for writing was born from a pink velvet-bound journal, with the word "Secrets" etched on the cover in gold thread. I was six years old, but I had stories to tell and secrets to keep. Since then, I have been writing both essays and poetry that examine the unhinged Self, relationships, family dynamics, childhood, pain, vulnerability and coming of age.
I'm passionate about experimentation when it comes to my writing style. My style varies through form whether it's a list poem, prose poem, lyrical essay or a traditional essay. I aim to evoke the conventional and the unconventional when it comes to both subject and form. In my work, I strive to find the sweet spot between expression and omission, analysis and emotion and obedience and rebellion. With the seasons, my writing style is endlessly evolving to best display my creative voice in whichever way feels right at the time.
